Hi, I’m Naomi & Nolan’s Mom!
I am a stay-at-home mom of two, a business owner, a psychology nerd, and a lover of cozy hobbies. I’m here to bring you helpful mommy must-haves, realistic checklists, and shame-free resources, all in one cute little place.
I found out I was pregnant at 22 years old, only a few months after my college graduation and merely a month before my wedding. From the moment my pregnancy test said “positive,” nothing has ever been the same. I was thrilled, of course, but if I’m honest…pretty freaking terrified as well. I didn’t expect this. I wasn’t mentally or practically prepared to become mom. What if I got it all wrong?
Whether you planned to start your family or had a surprise baby like I did, I’m sure you can relate to the fear of being a “bad mom.” Society does not go easy on us moms, especially young moms. Unless you’re a robot, it’s impossible not to let some of this crushing pressure get to you.
After many attempts at striving for perfection and falling short (effortless breastfeeding, consistent nap schedules, baby weight loss, balanced toddler meals, minimal screen time, never raising my voice, etc.) I felt deflated but also kinda mad. Why are moms the only people on earth expected to be perfect?
A happier and more sustainable mom life started for me the moment I accepted my limitations and decided to try and be a “good enough mom” rather than a perfect one. Some days, we spend lots of time outside and eat well-rounded meals; others, we have too much screen time and eat to survive. I have found that releasing the emotional pressure to be consistently excellent and appreciating the beauty in the mess has allowed me to feel more present and inspired as a mom.
In this blog, I share practical and actually doable kid-tested meal ideas, tired-mom activities, first-time mom must-haves, maternal mental health recommendations, products that are worth your time, travel tips and so much more. As a young and neurodivergent mom, I have a genuine passion for helping other moms by sharing what I’ve learned thus far on this wild journey. Whether you just found out you’re going to be a mom or are in the thick of it with toddlers, explore this site to find empowering information (I learned the hard way) and life-saving resources.
MEET THE FAM
This is my little family (minus our two dogs, Gianni & Ru). Naomi is now a 4-year-old girl boss with a surprisingly expansive vocabulary and a hilarious sense of humor. Nolan is 1 (15 months as I’m writing this) and already giving off old-man vibes. He’s a little cuddly teddy bear and loves trying to keep up with big sis.
